Those who are new to learning chemistry will want to know the basics of suspension in chemistry before they begin a course.Suspension in chemistry is when the solution is held or suspended in another. The most common form of suspension in chemistry is in a gas. Here are the basic types of suspension in chemistry.Neutralizing Agents - Neutralizers or neutralizing agents are used in many industries. The main function of these agents is to provide a higher pH level for a chemical reaction. One type of neutralizer is the bicarbonate. Bicarbonate is often used in order to reduce alkali metals in a process such as in the smelting of iron.Alkaline Alkalies - Alkaline alkalies are compounds that are capable of reducing acids and alkalis. Acid is the process by which an acid is produced from an acid source and alkali is the opposite of acid and mean s neutral to something acid.Cations - The opposite of an acid is a base. Base is the opposite of a base. The concentration of cations and anions is measured in terms of the concentration of their parts per million.Sodium Chloride - Sodium chloride is a very common substance in our environment. The solid form of sodium chloride is sodium chlorate, a white powder. The liquid form of sodium chloride is sodium bicarbonate, a white or clear solution that has the same physical properties as sodium chloride.Sodium bicarbonate - Another common substance is sodium bicarbonate. Sodium bicarbonate is used to neutralize liquids, especially those that have a very high salt content.Humidity - If the atmosphere is extremely dry, then the solution would be highly acidic and there would be little chance of the chemical reacting with anything else. If the atmosphere is too wet, then the chemicals might react with the water in the solution to form a compound called bicarbonate. This compound is respon sible for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
